Deep within the Jungles of Lustria lies Kara Temple, an ancient and revered centre for a culture prizing stoic behaviour and reverence for custom.
Beyond this lies a small valley which has become a beacon for those young women of Amazon society wishing to break away from the traditions of old, embracing the emerging counterculture and glamour of the youth in the Old World they have seen in glossy tomes obtained from passing traders to the region. ​
Rather than conform to the norms these “wayward daughters” have decided that if you’re going to break the rules you might as well look fabulous doing it!
Establishing themselves in an old run-down blood bowl stadium, a travelling promoter from the Old-World Athena League witnessed the Amazons practicing – complete with synchronized warm-ups, dramatic poses, and aggressively styled hair. Describing them as “equal parts deadly and dazzling” the Amazons accepted the offer to participate in the League hoping that fame and fortune would come their way. To the traditional they are seen as undisciplined and vain, but to a growing number of younger Amazons their names are whispered in admiration.
